TP Transcription Limited is the controller for information collected through tptranscription.ie and for its own customer administration. It is registered in England and Wales under number 04946815. Information we collect
- Your name, organisation, role, address, email and telephone number.
- Enquiry, quotation, order and project instructions.
- Account, invoice and payment-administration records; card details are handled by the selected payment provider and are not stored by this website.
- Correspondence, complaints and feedback.
- Technical and security data such as IP address, browser information, consent choices and server logs.
- Analytics or marketing information where optional cookies have been accepted.
Recordings, videos, source documents and transcripts supplied for a project are normally processed on behalf of the client/controller under the service contract, rather than for our own purposes.
How information is obtained
Information comes from you, your organisation, an authorised colleague, website forms, telephone or email contact, our secure upload service, payment and accounting providers, and the normal technical operation of the website.

Who receives information?
We disclose information only where necessary to authorised staff and contractors, associate transcribers or translators assigned to a project, and vetted providers of hosting, secure file transfer, communications, IT support, forms, analytics (if consented), payment, accounting and professional advice. We may disclose data to authorities where law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
The controller is established in the UK. Transfers of EEA personal data to the UK are currently supported by the European Commission’s renewed UK adequacy decision of 19 December 2025 where it applies. If a transfer is not covered by adequacy, we use an appropriate GDPR transfer safeguard and supplementary measures where required. Translation or other specialist work involving a provider in another country will be assessed and agreed where necessary.
How long do we keep it?
We retain enquiry and customer records only as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, security, claims and normal business administration. Financial and contract records may need to be kept for statutory periods. Project files follow the agreed service and retention terms. Backups and logs expire under controlled schedules. You can ask about the period applicable to a particular record.
Cookies
Essential technologies operate the site and protect forms. Analytics, embedded media and other optional technologies should run only after the relevant consent. Use the cookie settings control to change or withdraw consent. The cookie policy lists the live site’s current cookies after the Complianz scan is completed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions and exemptions, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Complaints

Children
This business website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect children’s information through it. Client recordings may contain information about children only where the commissioning controller has a lawful basis and has instructed us to process it securely.

We update this notice when the website, suppliers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
